RPC’s Microbiology Laboratory has been providing diagnostic services to customers in the food, beverage, feed and environmental industry sectors for over 35 years. To keep pace with our customers’ needs and ensure top quality results, we hold ISO 17025 accreditation with the Standards Council of Canada and are registered to the ISO 9001 Standard.

We provide the following microbial analyses for a variety of matrices including food, medicinal marijuana, drinking water and wastewater on a regular basis. For non-standard analyses, we can also implement/develop appropriate tests and design a program to meet customer needs.

Results
Depending on the analysis, results are provided in report format within 1-7 business days upon receiving your samples.

Antimicrobial Effectiveness Testing
Antimicrobial Effectiveness Testing, also known as the Preservative Efficacy Test or Microbial Challenge Study, is performed to determine if the chosen preservative is appropriate for a product formulation. It is also carried out as part of a stability study to ascertain whether a preservative system is still effective up to the expiration date of a product.
